Building on Kai Eiermann’s experiences with films including 'The Ordinaries', participants will gain a deeper understanding of the multifaceted nature of editing and some of the questions that arise during the process.

Application:

Only 20 participants will be shortlisted. Open to students enrolled in film schools, as well as film practitioners.

The Facilitator:

Kai Eiermann is a film editor and script consultant based in Berlin, Germany. Documentary and fiction films from his editing table have premiered, among others at Berlinale, Karlovy Vary IFF, Shefield doc/fest, Munich Film Festival. He worked on films like The Ordinaries (D.: S. Linnenbaum, 2023), Johatsu (D.: A. Hartmann, A. Mori, 2024), 27 Storeys (D.: Bianca Gleissinger) and many more, which received numerous awards in Germany and worldwide.

Workshop Immersive Storytelling


With Curator Ulrich Schrauth, and Filmmaker, Tim Deussen

Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan, New Delhi presents a focus workshop on immersive storytelling with curator and artistic director Ulrich Schrauth, VRHAM! Festival Hamburg/BFI London Film Festival, and Digital and Creative Director Tim Deussen, art direction and lead development on Tales of the March.

The workshop will give an insight into the history and development of Virtual and Augmented Reality and share details about the current state of the art form, followed by a hands-on session. The practical part of the workshop will concentrate on spatial storytelling and photogrammetry and give a first insight into the future of storytelling, offering a glimpse into the future of immersive narrative experiences.

The workshop is presented as part of this year's activities surrounding VROOOOM: A Virtual Reality Film Experience, supported by Lufthansa Group presented at the Habitat International Film Festival 2024.
