Synopsis

When Max (Mahesh Mahadevan) and Min (Minara Hussain) break up, he’s forced to take care of Min’s cat, named Meowzaki after their favourite filmmaker – the Japanese animation legend Miyazaki Hayao. Having just lost his mother, having to deal with his allergy to cat fur, in addition to grief and heartbreak, Max finds a cat sitter for Meowzaki. Max’s orthodox father Ramesh, suffering from insomnia since his wife’s death, consults a charming therapist called Dhaara. Max’s grandfather Sridhar Mahadevan enjoys secretly drinking with his new friend Jennifer, an Alzheimer’s patient, at his retirement home. All three generations of Mahadevan men heal their mutual and separate dysfunctionalities as they learn to let the light in through their wounds, helped along by new friendships, cats, music and the wisdom of Hayao Miyazaki.
