TALK | IHC Theatre Festival. Spotlight on… Adil Hussain. Theatre and film actor Adil Hussain’s early career started in rural Assam, before studying at the National School of Drama (NSD) in Delhi and the Drama Studio London (DSL). An epic road-trip on a Royal Enfield, some astonishing mentors, a British Council encounter with the iconic Steven Berkoff in Delhi and premiering in Othello: A Play in Black & White at the Edinburgh Fringe helped shape Adil’s approach to acting and theatre. Best known now for his roles in Bollywood and Hollywood including Life of Pi, Star Trek and Delhi Crime, Adil’s acting career has been influenced by a worldview and his formative experiences in Assam, Delhi, London, Edinburgh, and his epic road-trip across his beloved homeland. Adil Hussain will be in conversation with Jonathan Kennedy, Director Arts India, British Council, celebrating the India/UK Together Season of Culture.Entry by prior registration.
