DRAMATIZED READING | Yatrik presents a reading of Publish or Perish, a play by Anuvab Pal, directed by Sabina Mehta Jaitly.Read by Ramesh Thakur, Bhaskar Ghose & Sabina Mehta Jaitly. Two aging would-be writers (and friends of long standing) have been struggling for years to get their respective works published. Finally, one of them succeeds and (out of a sense of guilt?) concocts a well-meaning but completely harebrained scheme to help out the unsuccessful and destitute friend, financially. The plan surely has to misfire, and it does, with very unexpected consequences.A dark comedy, that will have you thinking very deeply even as you giggle and guffaw through the unfolding of this incredible drama. |
